"You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover will be yourself."

- Alan Alda

Success Stories

"As I read through the affirmations I got a sense of lightness. I like very much that you use first, second, and third person in the affirmations. Also, as you say in your letter, three is very powerful. Nikola Tesla said, "If you only knew the power of three you would know the power of the Universe." The affirmations are worded well, too. Short, whih makes them even more effective. I like it very much!"

- Kathy Wilson, Under-One-Roof.net

Becky, I've been thinking about you lately and how the CD is supporting me.... I am feeling more confident and my money situation is being more stable. The biggest thing is that I am allowing myself to center and be in silence more often. I am finally getting intuitive hits and thoughts again. The affirmations you made for me helped me get to this place. Thank you so much for your wonderful support!

(a Personal Note)

Whether you "believe" that this "new age" is coming or not, it's hard to deny that everything seems to be changing, including the systems we've depended on. Just looking at where we were as a human civilization 100 years ago and the many changes that have happened in our world in the 20th century, is mind boggling!

The "old" answers just don't seem to be enough anymore. People are searching... I believe for a deeper awareness of life, for themselves, and for how they fit into it all.

We are evolving.... Evolving to a new, higher level of consciousness.

And that means change.

Change begins with making a decision to be different. Then the work begins.

You must search for and clear out whatever has been holding you back from being all that you can be.

Noticing your internal dialogue and working to change your habitual ways of thinking and doing is the first place to start.

Affirmations and Meditation are two tools to help you do this. A Custom Affirmation Meditation gives you both.

~Namaste, Becky

"Music connects us with our essence which is movement and vibration. As we listen, or play, we feel the flow, the movement within and around us, the utter transitoriness of life... As we proceed on the journey of transformation, we may use music at every stage, helping us to move, flow, open, surrender."

- Joanne Crandall
Self-Transformation through Music

"If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow,
we are not really living."

- Erich Fromm

"Change" is definitely the buzz word these days! With a new president here in the U.S., we are certain to see some changes in this new year.

But we've all been given a "new year" - a new beginning - a chance to make some changes in our life.... A chance to let go of whatever is NOT working... a Little Engine That Couldchance to stop tolerating... stop playing small... stop making excuses...

A chance to be "The Little Engine That Could"...
and DID!

A chance to take responsibility and BECOME the person we were meant to be.

WARNING - That may mean you'll have to face your fears or start looking at those "shadow" places you keep trying to ignore.... And that may feel "uncomfortable." If it does, that's good! That means you're stretching, growing, and... changing!

Personally, I don't want to be "The Little Engine That Could"... but never did. Wasted potential is not pretty at any age.

One of Wayne Dyer's "secrets" (in his book, 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace) is: Don't Die with Your Music Still in You. And I agree!

Your talents, your gifts and strengths... your passions.... YOU ... are here to share your gifts - your Self - with the world. And you do that by Living Your Truth, BEing Who you Really Are, developing and reaching your potential, stretching, growing, learning.... by letting Your Light Shine!

Living, breathing, and BEing who we really are then inspires others to do the same. In doing that, we become the Light for others.

Shine on!

~ Namaste, Becky

Custom Affirmation Meditation (see special offer in sidebar)

Affirmations are "statements of truth." We "affirm" things about our selves all the time. Anytime you catch yourself saying or thinking "I am...." you are making an "affirmation."

Unfortunately, most of our affirmations are negative. "I'm so clumsy," "I could never do that," "I am sick and tired..."

But, put in a positive light, affirmations can be powerful tools for personal transformation. They can help turn habitual negative thinking and self-limiting beliefs into positive, life-affirming self-statements instead of personal put-downs.

Custom Affirmation Meditations are 45-60 minute meditations using affirmations that you choose, typically dealing with whatever issue or habitual thought pattern you are working to change. (The length of the finished product depends on how long or short your affirmation statements are.) The statements are laid over a track of original music. (Or if you've had a Soul Music Reading, we can use your Soul Song, which makes it even more powerful!)

When you invest in your own Customized Affirmation Meditation, here's what you get:

  • a one-on-one 60-minute coaching session where we discuss where you are, what your issues or goals are, and then fine tune your affirmation statements to best represent your core issue
  • a Guidebook with a copy of the meditation script along with suggestions for listening
  • your personalized, custom affirmation meditation recorded and produced specifically for you
  • a CD and/or mp3 of the audio (your choice)

If you work with clients, this is a great tool you can offer your clients as a powerful way to build on the work you do together. (see the option without the coaching session)

Making Change One Day at a Time

"You will never change your life until you change something you do daily."

- Mike Murdock

Every morning we wake up with a brand new day in front of us....a fresh start. Will it be the same-old-EarthMorningsame-old? Just another day?

Or will it be different?

Will you think the same thoughts? Do the same things? In the same way?

Or will you do just one thing different?

The bigger question is, though:

If you keep going in the direction you're headed, where will you be next year at this time?

And its counterpart:

Do you really want to be where you are now, next year?

Change happens one step at a time. Or as the Chinese Philosopher, Lao-tzu said, "the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. "butterfly

It's much like the butterfly effect in chaos theory, even the simplest change or variation in your thoughts, words, or actions can have an effect on the direction of your life.

If you want your life to be different, then YOU must be different.

Where do you want to be next year at this time? Take some time to really consider this. Here are some questions to get you started:

  • What IS working in your life right now?

  • How can you add more of this to your life?

  • What is NOT working?

  • Is there something you can do to rectify this situation?

  • If not, how can you change your perspective about it? Maybe look at it from a different angle, or from another person's point of view?

  • What are you tolerating?

  • What do you need to do to stand up for yourself in this situation?

Now, take a look into the future. What would your life be like if you had more of what you wanted and you were free of tolerations and rid of all those things your feel are holding you back?

Imagine what it would feel like. Take a deep breath and enjoy the good feelings and sense of well-being.

Give yourself time to visualize and imagine and FEEL how your life would be. Write it down in your journal or a notebook and refer to it daily or weekly. Even add to it or edit it as you change your mind or discover new things you like. This is YOUR life. You can create it anyway you choose.

All the great athletes know and use the power of visualization. You can to. Remember, everything that ever was began with a thought. And its seed was "planted" in the imagination.

Einstein said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." When he was working on his Theory of Relativity, he would visualize himself riding on a beam of light and imagined what he would experience. He "saw" the solutions in his imagination, then he worked to build the bridge to them.

In other words, begin with the end result you want. See it in your mind's eye and feel it in your heart and in your body - as if it were already true. Then take the steps necessary to make it happen.

"If you have built castles in the air; your work need not be lost;
that is where they should be. now put the foundations under them."

- Thoreau

Decide where you want to be, then take at least one step each day to move you forward. That is the secret to making change one day at a time.

By the way.... Create Your Ideal Life is a 48-minute guided meditation that is a great tool for visualizing, imagining, and creating the life you desire. Check it out here.

"Music takes us out of the actual and whispers to us dim secrets that startle our wonder as to who we are, and for what, whence, and whereto."

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Music is a reflection of an orderly universe and helps us feel our connection to the Divine. It also puts us in touch with the evolution of life and our own process of growth and change.

Think back to the music you liked as a child... as a teenager... as a young adult... How have your tastes changed over the years? How does the music reflect these changes?

In music - especially classical music - there is a constant ebb and flow between same and different. Variety keeps the listener interested and entranced awaiting what will happen next. Yet, when that familiar melody or motive comes around again, even if it's slightly different, there is a sense of "home."

So, in essence, music is a lot like life, and each song is like a journey.... We set out in a direction, have experiences, and come home forever changed in some way.

Try this Musical Journey Exercise the next time you listen to your Soul Song. Or, pick one of your favorite pieces that is music only - no words. Put on your headphones or plug into your iPod and begin this imaginary "time-travel journey."

This is also a good exercise to use when you want to work through any unresolved issues or troubling scenarios; or if you want to explore and "try out" new directions, possibilities, or opportunities. Either way, allow yourself to step "outside the box" and outside your comfort zone. Give yourself permission to "do something different" or even do something "wide and crazy"!

  1. Select your piece of music (see ideas below). Lie down, close your eyes, and begin breathing deeply and slowly. During this exercise you are the architect and composer of your own reality. You will surrender to the flow of the music as well as take an active part in the journey's process.

  2. In your mind's eye, tune in to a clear image of the adventure in which you are about to embark. As the music plays, listen to your inner self as it verbally describes this opportunity to fulfill an unresolved dream meet new people, share new experiences, or create new memories.

  3. As you listen to yourself describe the details of your approaching transition, be specific, clear, and above all, positive and optimistic about how it is all going to work out. As you continue your breathing, feel and visualize yourself smiling. See yourself undergoing the various changes you wish to make. With the music as your "time-traveling companion" focus only on positive, forward moving consequences. Obstacles are challenges. Conflicts are new opportunities for growth and movement. Difficulties are simply the different things you encounter on your adventure, which in themselves, will continue to evolve.

  4. Riding in the safety, flow, and comfort of the musical rhythms, visualize yourself five years from now, looking back at all the changes which have occurred and transpired. Again, feel and "see" yourself smiling - a huge grin across your face. Looking back through your transformation and period of development listen to yourself in the "hear" and now describing the flourishing which you experienced during those five quick years. Hear the satisfaction of the maturation process, the pride in having taken control of your passage and having created the reality of your life's flow.

  5. Having actualized your positive metamorphosis, allow the music to bring you back to the present moment. As you allow yourself to return to the actual reality of embarking on your new adventure, allow the feelings elicited by the feel of the music to become part of your acoustic memory.
